Grand Bahamas Airboat Nature Adventure Tours

Tour #1 Airboat Nature Venture
The Airboat Nature Venture is a 4 hour nature based tour. Transportation is provided via an air conditioned bus to the airboat launch site. During this time, guests are introduced to the historic Hawksbill creek, where the airboat tour takes place.

This body of water while averaging only 3 feet deep has numerous underwater blue holes with depths plunging to 80 feet deep. Guests will get to view the tidal movements in these blue holes which cause either a pulling in or pushing out of fresh underground water into the salt water above. Journeying through this pristine natural environment is very scenic and tranquil. Halfway through the ride guests take part in a short nature walk along an uninhabited cay where they learn of local flora and Bahamian bush medicine. Back on board the boat, travels continue further toward the mouth of the Hawksbill creek which opens into a vast body of water called the little Bahama Bank. At this point, the water color transitions to a clear turquoise which allows for easy viewing of turtles, sharks and our world famous bonefish. Guests will also enjoy encounters with a variety of migratory and local bird species. The airboat excursion is topped off with lunch on a little cay where swimming, beachcombing or simply relaxing are all options. Following this, guests are transported back to the airboat launch site.
This tour uniquely combines an exhilarating adventure along with a nature and cultural aspect for those wanting to experience more than just an ordinary expedition.

Groups are small (14 guests per guide), personal and guided by certified tour guides. Transportation is included.

Tour #2 Freeport City Tour

This tour begins at the Hawksbill creek, takes you through the city visiting many places of historical interest and natural beauty. You will learn of the rich cultural and environmental heritage of the city. Sample delicious local conch ("conk") salad and end your day on a beautiful beach.
